recceing camps

My preferred training camp format consists of no more than 4 athletes at a time. This allows proper individual attention and focus. I encourage athletes to visit me in the French Alps for testing and structured training on a quarterly basis - test numbers are never better than when the coach is watching and the mountain views ease the pain!   I also insist on prospective athletes coming for a few days of testing so that I can better understand their physiology, motivation, mental strength and limitations as well giving them the chance to get a feel for my modus operandi.. My training camps are not about just piling on mileage, but rather unpacking an individual's strengths and weaknesses in order that they leave with a clear plan of action designed to develop maximum potential.


Triathlon Performance Workshop – Hatta Fort Resort, Dubai

Hi Ian and Roy. I would just like to say thank you very much for putting together such a professional, informative and challenging workshop at Hatta this weekend. Garth and Rob were absolutely excellent and it was a privilege to be able to participate. I think it was just the right balance between the theory/ science side of the sport and the physical and practical. I am eagerly awaiting the take aways ( not to mention the photographs). A great group of guys and many new faces to meet which added to the enjoyment and a great location. I certainly have gone away with a lot of thinking to do but inspired and motivated to challenge myself to the next level. I haven’t endured such a hard 30 minutes of effort for a long time as we all experienced on Friday morning. I do hope you can encourage these guys to come back again as they were great value. I do hope they have positive feedback on the Group. Thanks again – had a wonderful time and looking forward to the next one.

Tri Dubai Triathlon Training Camp, Chamonix

As I sit reflecting on my flight back to the sandpit, I'm thinking that I'm a much fitter and knowledgable triathlete than I was a week ago. But more importantly I have been able to spend time with old and new friends doing something I love and for that I feel humbled and privileged.
